Claire Cummings is a lass after our own hearts. Not only does she design textiles with sweet patterns, her stuff is entirely handcrafted from locally sourced materials. If you’re in the market for such threads (be they for wearing or popping on your wall), you may like to check out her label, Hangin’ Around. Interestingly, Claire’s latest range, called syn-aesthetic, is inspired by a neurological phenomenon she experiences called grapheme-colour synaesthesia, which results in her associating numerals and letters with colours (for Claire, A is pink, B is orangey-brown, C is yellow and so on). Pop over to the Hangin’ Around website to see more.
